One of Logic Integration’s first clients in 2003 downsized their home and engaged them for a new technology system in the new home. Logic had taken over the original system from a previous integrator in the early 2000’s.The owners partnered with Logic to fully design, engineer, and implement the new home system.
As stated previously, simplicity was a must for the new system, but it also needed to be capable of controlling the entire home technology environment. While the owners’ previous system was primarily a large distributed audio/visual system, they wanted the new system to control lighting, HVAC, window treatments, access control, and security. The idea behind downsizing the home was to increase the convenience of their home life so the system needed to compliment that.
Logic put in a whole-home Control4 system. This system controlled the entire technology environment. A whole-home Araknis network was deployed as well to ensure that all devices intercommunicate properly. The owners’ previous home had a substantial outdoor living space with a pool, speakers, TV’s, etc…; however, the new home simply had a main level patio with beautiful mountain views.
In order to preserve the view of the mountains but also allow for a cool technology option outdoors, Logic worked closely with the general contractor to provide a recessed display lift surrounded by wood trim work that compliments the tongue-in-groove sloped ceiling. QMotion motorized window shades were provided on all windows and are controlled by the control system. All lighting is Control4 zigbee lighting and covers nearly the entire home.
